The social history collection represents the everyday lives of people living and working in Hampshire from the 19th century to modern times. The collection contains objects relating to domestic life, industries, technology, leisure and entertainment to name but a few.

Objects from our Social History collection are on display across the county in our museums. We also make the collection housed in our museum stores accessible by appointment. Our online database shows a selection of objects, some of which aren’t ordinarily on permanent display.
