Art: Mixed Media for Beginners

An art course for beginners, aiming to teach basic skills of drawing and painting, and building creativity.

Use pencil, charcoal, pastels, watercolour, acrylic and collage. Learn to make art work that you would be proud to have on your wall in a friendly supportive atmosphere!

The course is run by WEA South West - please enrol online through their website. Booking through the museum for this course is not available.

This course will enable learners to develop drawing, painting and mixed media skills and build creative thinking. No skills or experience needed - this course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course you should be able to:

  • Develop drawing skills with observational and imaginative tasks
  • Develop painting skills including brushwork and colour mixing
  • Develop use of mixed media
