‘Beneath our Feet’ – Winklebury Junior School
Year Four Pupils explored the stories of their local area’s past and present, through mapping and exploring objects to create a sense of place. The school buildings are near to an Iron Age Hill Fort, which is due to be re-developed to provide housing and open green space for the community The project began with a field trip that was designed to connect art, history and geography and bring them alive through hands-on experiences and the contemplation of the past beneath our feet. This exhibition illustrates their journey of discovery.
