Join us at the magnificent and ancient Great Hall, Winchester – the beloved city in which Jane lived out her final days – for an audience with Lucy Worsley. What better place to celebrate this remarkable author with TV's most engaging historian, than the city of Jane's resting place, and a building that she would have known and perhaps even visited? As part of our celebrations of 250 years since Jane's birth, if you have a modicum of Sense (and Sensibility!), this is an event you will not want to miss out on!

The Great Hall with Westgate Museum

Jane Austen 250, Special Events

Dr. Lucy Worsley has years of experience delivering historical information in digestible and engaging formats. From her work with the BBC, Historic Royal Palaces, and most recently, on her hugely successful Podcast, Lady Killers, Worsley aims to make history accessible to as wide an audience as possible.

Her biography, Jane Austen at Home, recently re-released with a new celebratory 250th Anniversary cover, explores the relationship between space, place and Austen’s personal life. Dispelling the myth of the cynical lonely spinster, Lucy instead offers us a witty and passionate woman of her time, who refuses to settle for anything less than Mr. Darcy.

Lucy will be taking part in a booking signing in the hall after the event. Order your Standard Plus ticket to collect your discounted copy of her book Jane Austen at Home: A Biography - 250th Anniversary Edition) and have it signed by her personally on the night!
