Are you curious about history and the past? Have you ever wanted to get hands-on with real historical artefacts?

Well, here is your chance! Today we will be opening our doors to all budding young (or grown-up!) archaeologists for a day of historical fun.

You will have the chance to learn about and handle some of our amazing artefacts at our object handling stall - you could even have a go at your own mini archaeological dig with our excavation box!

Then, why not try your hand at our 'experimental archaeology' activities?

Archaeologists have cleverly figured out exactly how people in the past made things like tools and jewelry and now you can have a go too!

Try creating a prehistoric tool out of a soap bar, have a go at some cave painting or maybe try out some traditional weaving...

Come along and join us at City Museum for all sorts of history fun!
