What you need: Wear comfy clothes, shoes (Latin shoes not necessary) and bring plenty of water.
Tutor: Heidi Cruwys - Principal of Dance Crazy
Heidi Cruwys began dancing at the age of 5 and by the time she was 11, was chosen to represent England to compete in Paris. As a junior dancer, Heidi Cruwys was a regular finalist in the British Open to the World Championships and also represented the British Team, an achievement that Heidi’s very own dance students continue to make years later.
Heidi Cruwys wins the British National Championships at 15, continuing as a youth and amateur dancer to represent England in World and European Championships. Heidi’s collaboration with her brother Simon, brought them the UK Professional Ballroom Championships in 1996. In 2007, Heidi Cruwys was invited by the BBC to comment on the ‘Fab Four’ adjudicators from the successful TV show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
Her decision to retire from competition dancing in 1997 was by no means the end of her dancing career as she was by now, alongside her brother Simon, running a successful dance school in Bournemouth.
