Join artist, Becki, for a day of mindful creativity, inspired by the beauty of seasonal blooms.
Set in the museum’s lovely outdoor garden, this creative and mindful five hour workshop invites you to connect with nature while learning the art of watercolour and ceramic painting. Becki will begin by guiding you through colour mixing and simple techniques to paint delicate floral designs with watercolours, before adding detail and depth with ink. You'll gain confidence with paints and ink to create a page of beautiful floral illustrations that celebrate the season. After a lunch break in the garden setting, the creativity continues with ceramic painting. Becki will introduce folk-art inspired techniques to help you decorate your own vase, that you will be able to take home and fill with flowers.
Designed for beginners, this workshop includes all materials, including a paint set for you to take home so you can continue your new creative journey. Come along alone and meet like-minded people or bring a friend along. This relaxed and welcoming workshop is the perfect space to explore your creativity, focus on your wellbeing, and try something new. You’ll leave with new skills, your own paint set, and a beautifully painted vase to take home.
Please bring a packed lunch - our cafe is serving hot and cold drinks, ice cream and a small range of snacks.
All materials will be provided.
This workshop takes place in our covered picnic area in our garden. In very poor weather we will move inside to our meeting room.
