This exhibition showcases contemporary sculpture and related artworks by members of Hampshire Sculpture Trust in response to objects held in the collections of the Allen Gallery and Curtis Museum.
Hampshire Sculpture Trust is a charitable organisation whose aim is to promote sculpture in the Hampshire region and beyond. They do this through a combination of projects, including exhibitions, talks, commissions and educational initiatives, often working with other regional arts institutions and galleries.
Their members include many practising sculptors, making contemporary work across a wide spectrum of media and approaches. This allows them to present contemporary sculpture to the public through local and regional exhibitions such as 'Declassified'.
A talk about the exhibition is also planned for Saturday 3 August.
