Exploring Acrylic Paint

Diana is an artist who regularly works to support learning and wellbeing in communities. She is an advocate of creativity as an important form of self expression and emotional wellbeing.

Everyone is welcome from absolute beginners to those who wish to expand their experience in this relaxed and supportive environment. We will be trying out lots of different ways to use acrylic paint in playful and surprising ways, from discovering new colours to using different tools and adding mediums to change the paint’s texture. You will learn how to find your individual style by painting from still life, your imagination and more abstract pieces. We will finish with time to create a special piece in your choice of style to take home.

All the materials you need will be provided but please bring an old shirt or apron that will protect your sleeves. You are also welcome to bring any materials you already have to try out or experiment with or images that inspire you.

The things you learn on this course will give you the skills and confidence to join a longer course or a local art group.
