Generate Skills is part of a wider National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Gosport Heritage Generator, which aims to develop and sustain organisations and individuals working in or around heritage in Gosport through the provision of free training, grants, exhibitions, events and new community resources.

Topics were selected after local consultation, and the first round of training is now open for booking. All participants in the training programme will then be eligible to apply to the ‘Generate grants’ programme which provides grants of up to £5000 to develop projects with clear links to Gosport’s heritage and that involve a broad spectrum of the community.

A course from personal branding expert Annelies James that is designed to demystify digital marketing practices, using plain language to demonstrate how it can promote not for profits, freelancers and charitable organisations.

This interactive workshop led by the Portsmouth Guildhall events team, participants will learn the essentials of how to design and deliver a successful event by covering a variety of subjects such as logistics, planning, risk assessment, and budgeting.
