This exciting class is led by Maria Stones, who will introduce you to the initial steps to successfully use a sewing machine for the first time or if a refresh of your knowledge is needed to bring back confidence after a long time. You will learn the basics and will give you the confidence to initiate your journey in sewing.

There will be sewing machines available for you to use, but please feel free to bring your own

Come and enjoy the session with like minded sewing enthusiasts. Practice samples are provided.

Artist:

Maria is a textile artist from Hampshire. She started her crafty journey aged 7, inspired by her grandmother. Maria loves sewing, embroidery, patchwork, knitting and crochet. She has been a teacher at Ashcroft for many years and enjoys sharing her passion for all things needlecraft.
