'Group Retrospective 3' showcases the varied interests and artwork of the members of the Alton Art Society Paint Group, from portrait to landscape, from still life to painting en plein air, in various media.
The Alton Art Society was formed in 1923 to promote the practice of the creative arts in Alton and the surrounding area . The Thursday Paint Group was set up to provide an informal and regular space for any AAS members to drop in and work in the company of other artists.
The Alton Art Society welcomes anyone of any ability, from professional artists to those new to picking up a paint brush, and all members are invited to exhibit at the October annual exhibition.
Alongside the artwork on the walls will be a selection of cards and folios available to purchase.
