We're excited to bring an exhibition on Ray Harryhausen to Winchester this September. For many of us growing up with his films, his animations were awesome, mesmerising and inspiring. Ray was the pioneer behind stop-animation processes that allowed his models to be combined with the live action filming of actors on location. All of the animations we see today - Jurassic Park, Avatar, Lord of the Rings - owe their existence to Ray. While we explore his inspirations and influences on industry in the main exhibition in The Gallery (26 Sept - 16 Feb), at City Space we'll be showcasing public contributions, gathered together in tribute to Ray.
See our open call listing if you're interested in submitting something towards the exhibition.

The deadline is 31 August.
We're going to create a vibrant, varied and full exhibition of models, memories and more. You'll see animations, landscapes and designs, newly made or retrieved from the attic - a community response that will show our love of Ray’s magical worlds of fantasy sci-fi.
