Home Education Programme

Celebrate 250 years of Jane Austen with a delightful, hands-on art programme inspired by the Regency era! Just as Austen expressed her creativity through her writing, your child will explore theirs through engaging activities like portrait drawing, watercolour painting , elegant lettering, origami, and simple embroidery. Designed to develop artistic skills in a fun and welcoming environment, this session also includes time to socialise and play games—perfect for making new friends while learning. Join us for a creative journey into history, imagination, and joyful connection!
These five sessions will be facilitated by Artist Educator and former Home Educator Veronica Williams. All materials will be provided. This home education programme is based on the exhibition 'Beyond the Bonnets: Working Women in Jane Austen's Novels' which will be at The Arc from from 26 July - 02 November 2025.
