International Garden Photographer of the Year

International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY) is the world’s most prestigious photographic competition and exhibition for garden, plant and botanical photography.

Coming to Gosport Gallery for the first time, the exhibition will feature a full display of the Competition 11 winners showcasing the finest images of plant life and the habitats of gardens and green spaces.

Visitors can expect to see thought-provoking and challenging images which seek to strengthen bonds with plants and gardens, increase public understanding of the natural world and champion photography as a mode of conservation. Images will be taken from nine main competition categories and Photo Projects including: The Beauty of Plants, Breathing Spaces, Wildflower Landscapes, Macro Art, Beautiful Gardens, Trees, Woods & Forests, Abstract Views and The Bountiful Earth, and The Young Garden Photographer of the Year Award for under 17s.

From the spectacular vision of plant life in The Cerrado, Brazil to idyllic British gardens and pastoral scenes, the exhibition will take visitors on an inspirational journey through sights both familiar and unknown.

IGPOTY is supported by The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew where the exhibition of winners is first launched each year.
