Keats in Winchester: Young People's Poetry Workshops

200 years ago, John Keats was inspired to write his best-loved poem To Autumn during a visit to Winchester. Now you can be inspired by Keats! We invite you to a FREE poetry workshop celebrating "The Seasons in Hampshire".

Working with Southampton Poet Laureate Matt West, you'll get to explore the joys of writing and sharing poetry. Be inspired by Keats to write about nature and places, and how we celebrate them at different times of the year. Discover your poetry, writing and creativity in one of two workshops on Saturday 29 June:

For ages 4 - 7: 10.30am – 11.30am
For ages 8 - 11: 12.30pm – 1.30pm

All workshops take place in Winchester City Museum.

Please note that in the workshop for 4-7 year olds all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Places are free but pre-booking is necessary as places are limited.

To book a place for your child (stating the specific workshop time), please contact Ross McGauran, Learning Manager at ross.mcgauran@hampshireculturaltrust.org.uk

These workshops run in conjunction with Keats 200: a competition for young writers and artists. For more information, please visit https://www.hampshireculture.org.uk/event/keats-200-competition-young-writers-and-artists
