Celebrate the return of the swinging 20's with our lindy hop short workshop!
Lindy Hop is a fun partner dance which originated in America in the 1920s and 30s. It evolved in Harlem, New York in places such as the famous Savoy Ballroom and was based on other dances of the day such as the charleston, jazz, tap and break-away - this session is the perfect introduction to lindy hop.
What you need: Wear comfy clothes and shoes to dance in and plenty of water. We also require participants over the age of 11 to wear face coverings in the centre.
Tutors: Tash and Martin
Martin and Tash will take you through the basics, step by step, without overloading you with too much to remember. You’ll learn how to bring energy and natural rhythm into your dancing and how to create that all-important connection with your dance partner. We will have regular breaks too!
Visit Tash and Martin's website to find out more about them.
Tickets: £35 per pair - please note booking is per pair only and each pair must be from the same household or social bubble.
Session: Saturday 5 June, 10am-12pm
