Do you think you have what it takes to be a Knight of the Holy Order?

Do you know how to perform surgery medieval battlefield-style? Winchester has a rich history when it comes to knights; there were those who doubled as monks, or who ran hospitals for the poor and wandering pilgrims travelling to the cathedral.

Visit the museum to meet Brother Roland who has recently returned to Winchester from Jerusalem to hear about what life was like as a medieval knight of the crusades. Let him teach you how these knights who founded St John's ambulance can treat you for all medical ailments and diseases within their hospitals.

Create your own medieval knight selfie and see if you have what it takes to follow Brother Roland into war as a trainee knight by trying out his armour! Just remember, he's not Sir Roland, just Brother Roland... and there's a question to ask him why when you visit!
