Monoprint for Fun!

Join artist and educator Helen Northcott for a two-day mono printing workshop where we’ll explore not only how to create a series of unique prints to take home, but also gather meaningful content and engage in printmaking as a self reflective and well-being practice.  Through group collaboration and playful creativity, we’ll focus on making art in a way that feels both expressive and enjoyable.

We’ll experiment with a variety of mono printing techniques using water-based inks and incorporating both painterly and textural elements as well as stencils and graphics too.

All materials will be provided but you’re welcome to bring along visual props that inspire you, such as flowers, leaves, sketches, journal pages or cut outs from books or magazines.

Whether you’re new to mono printing or looking to deepen your practice, this is a space to slow down, explore and connect through creativity.  All stages of the process will be clearly explained and there will be plenty of time for experimentation and fun.

*Please note that this course will be taking place on the top floor of the museum, which must be accessed by stairs. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
