17 Jan: 1920's Tea Dance

Step back into the 20's with tea dance inspired arts and crafts, led by an experienced art facilitator. You don't need to be an excellent artist, we shall guide you through the process and provide all materials. There will also be a chance to learn a few Charleston steps, either seated or standing.

14 Feb: A Spanish Romance

A fusion of colours, Flamenco Movement and Rhythm Workshop. Flamenco led by dancer, choreographer and teacher, Ester Tal. Ester spent 14 years in Spain, studying and working towards her passion for flamenco dance.

Flamenco embraces all ages, all abilities, all shapes and all sizes because it is born from the community. It’s an expression and celebration of life, reflected by its musical moods, movement, dance and emotionality.

Ester's recent work working within the older community evidences how flamenco – its pulsating rhythms, earthy movement, and strong, expressive language – can be a great life-enhancing tool, raising self-esteem, boosting energy and enabling the individual to flourish. The workshops are a collective experience for people with no previous experience of flamenco. A coming together to explore and experience flamenco: to share in its music, hypnotic rhythms and expressive style.

6 March: Coastal Care

Inspired by the landscape around us, experiment with seaside objects using touch and sound as tools for expression. A sensory experience for the body and mind focussing on encouraging creativity both within the visual arts element of the workshop and within the movement section.
