A family-friendly exhibition exploring the everyday life and beliefs of ancient Egyptian civilisation.
Mysteries of Ancient Egypt is a touring exhibition from Hampshire Cultural Trust. The exhibition includes many original ancient Egyptian artifacts and explores the stories behind how and why these objects came to be in Hampshire. Many of the artifacts on display came from a collection that was gifted to the Red House Museum many years ago, when Christchurch was still part of Hampshire. This exhibition brings together individual collections from Christchurch, Winchester and across Hampshire, unravelling some of the mysteries of everyday life for the ancient Egyptians and delving into their fascinating beliefs.
The exhibition includes interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and games suitable for all ages.
Free admission, donations welcome.
