Online talk via Zoom

Inspired by the vivid use of colour in the Out of the Blue exhibition, join designer Rachel Reynolds to find out about the world of colour, and how choosing the right colour and developing it using mood boards feeds into the design process for interior textiles, homeware and accessories.

Rachel is a printed textile designer and artist based in Hampshire. She creates a unique collection of hand-drawn interior textiles, wallpapers, home accessories and stationery products. Inspired by nature and architecture, Rachel combines drawings and watercolours with additions of bold hand painted pattern. Rachel gained a BA in Printed Textiles at Loughborough University and in 2012 gained an MA in Textile Design at Winchester School of Art (Distinction). Rachel launched her first interior collection ‘Heritage’ in 2014 with subsequent collections ‘Geometric’ and ‘Flora and Fauna’. Rachel regularly works to commission for the domestic and commercial interior alongside creating freelance designs for the museum and heritage sector.
