Online: Art Appreciation - John Constable, Pioneer and Proto-Impressionist

We have all seen the Hay Wain (pictured above - Constable actually titled the painting Landscape Noon), reproduced on tea towels and biscuit tins, but let's take a second look and see the artist as he truly is: a pioneer, a maverick and inspiration for the French Barbizon school and impressionists.

Listen in on this informal talk about the late pioneer and proto-impressionist John Constable to learn about his art and his influences.
