Our new regular Saturday music nights are an opportunity to enjoy some of the best of what our region has to offer, from the very local to those from only slightly further afield. With sometimes one, two or three acts on the schedule, and presented in a safe and friendly environment we hope that you’ll enjoy the company of long-standing Westy favourites or find something new to love.
The Prairie Hearts are a group of friends who came together to indulge their love of Roots, Country and Americana music. Despite being from Hampshire in the South of the UK, they find there's a common thread in the stories and characters of these old songs that transcend time and national boundaries. So, the notion of a British country band doesn't seem so strange! And there are new stories waiting to be told - many of the songs The Prairie Hearts play are their own original compositions. Some (but not all) involve cowboys, spittoons and broken hearts...
Richard "Ched" Chase – vocals, guitar
Chris Gatland - guitar, dobro, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, vocals
Deborah Gatland - fiddle
Steve Powell - bass
