Southern Ceramic Group Exhibition

City Space is excited to welcome the highly anticipated ceramic collective, Southern Ceramic Group, who are displaying a wide range of quality studio ceramics in Winchester this festive season.

The exhibition will feature over 500 works from 50 potters.

Founded in 1975 by a small group of enthusiastic potters, the group now has around 150 members from Hampshire and the surrounding counties. Known for their successful annual exhibition in Chichester, the group’s members are professional and amateur potters and sculptors, teachers and students. Don’t miss your opportunity to purchase work from some exceptional local makers and look out for events and demonstrations taking place around the exhibition - a list of which can be found below.

EVENT: Saturday 23 November – join artist Annie Flitcroft for clay decoration making workshops for children.
9.30-10.30am Christmas tree decorations (6 years+)
11.30-12.30 Angels and Snowmen (9 years+)

£6 per participant (fired and returned for collection)

EVENT: Saturday 7 December -  join artist Lesley Dixon to create a clay feast for the eyes, Island of Treasures! Participants will make a collaborative piece together to be displayed in the gallery.

DEMONSTRATION: Sunday 15 December – watch artist Mick Dixon as he holds teapot making demonstrations on the potters wheel in the City Space.
