How can a visit to a local heritage site enhance classroom learning and support the curriculum?

FREE entry to this exclusive early opening for teachers (plus 4!) at Milestones Museum to engage with representatives from six sites offering high quality cross-curricular learning experiences for schools:

  • Aldershot Military Museum

  • Andover Museum of the Iron Age

  • Gilbert White & the Oates Collections

  • Winchester's Military Museums

Pre-registration essential with a school email address.

  • FREE entry to Milestones Museum on arrival between 10.00am and 11.00am for one teacher plus 4 people when you register in advance with a school email address. Standard entry fees apply for arrival from 11.00am.

  • In North Hampshire or Winchester? Find out more about travel bursaries of up to £400 available for eligible schools.

  • The opportunity to engage with representatives from the six sites about how their school programmes can support your students' learning across the key stages and curriculum including STEM, English, Maths, History, Geography.

  • Collect information about school visits to SEARCH (Gosport), Winchester City Museum and Westgate Museum, Winchester.

  • Experience Milestones Museum's interactive school programmes including Toys & Games, World War Two and Victorians, as well as storytelling for younger visitors.
