Join The Touring Potter team for a creative pottery workshop this May half term! 

There will be opportunity to use the potters wheel as well as hand-build with clay! At the end of the workshop, our team will take the handcrafted items back to the studio where they will be fired in the kiln. Your teen will select a glaze colour to have their items finished in. 

After the firing process has taken place the amazing clay creations will be dropped at Forest Arts Centre for collection. This process can take up to 6 weeks. 

When: Wednesday 28 May 10-11am 

What to wear: Please dress for mess :) Coffee and snacks are available from our lovely cafe!

Maisie Jones "The Touring Potter" Is a Dorset based ceramicist. Who has been working with clay for 12 years. She trained in ceramics at The University of Brighton gaining a Ba Hons degree in 3D Design and Craft. Since completing her studies she has worked as a teacher, artisan maker and commercial manufacturer of ceramics. She has been running The Touring Potter a mobile pottery business for just over a year sharing her love for pottery with clients across the UK. This has included working with ceramic studios, schools, care homes, local businesses in hospitality and with groups and individuals in her home studio in Christchurch. She is highly creative and enthusiastic about her craft and will accommodate all levels of experience in her classes. She aims to make pottery something all can experience and enjoy.
