Drawing and mixed media collage (watercolour, paint pens, ink, recycled papers) Toys have the power to transport us back to our childhoods. Come and explore toys through the ages in the drawing and mixed-media collage workshop. Feel free to bring your favourite toy for inspiration!
Four sessions available – Please take note of age suitability and length of workshop when booking
All workshops start at 11am except Sunday.
Session 1. 21 August: Suitable for age 5 - 11 (Parents & Guardians please book place) 1 hour
Session 2. 22 August: Suitable for ages 11 + 1.5 hours
Session 3. 23 August: Suitable for Age 11 + (Dementia Friendly) 1.5 hours
Session 4. 24 August: Suitable for all ages (Parents & Guardians please book place) 1 hour
Session 5. 24 August 2 - 3.30pm: Suitable for all ages (Parents & Guardians please book place) 1.5 hours
Workshops take place in the Sainsbury Gallery so are accessible. All Workshops are free but donations are welcome. Please let us know if you have to cancel so you place can be offered to someone else.
About the Exhibition This summer, 'The Time Studio’ (3 Aug – 3 Nov 24) exhibition, will transform the Sainsbury Gallery into a vibrant space for creativity. We’ve invited six Hampshire-based artists to lead free workshops, tailored to different mediums and age groups, exploring the theme of 'Time.' Take part in this evolving exhibition and see your work on display.
