Join us for a unique family friendly living history event with combat displays and activities, all set in the beautiful village of Rockbourne. 

Enjoy multi-period living history displays spanning Rockbourne Roman Villa's archaeological story; from the Iron Age to the Saxons. It promises to be a truly exciting and immersive exploration of our ancient past. 

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of our ancient past! Witness the Anglo-Saxon era come alive with the authentic Herigeas Hundas, and uncover the secrets of Roman life and combat with The Butser Roman Legion. Get hands-on with history as you join Warrior Training sessions led by Experience the Iron Age, and unwind with captivating storytelling inspired by ancient times from Lizzie Bryant.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Cotswold Archaeology, the team behind the fascinating recent Roman discoveries in Fordingbridge. Plus, enjoy a wide range of activities including expert talks, interactive trails for children, and plenty of hands-on fun.

  • 4pm - Parade of History (all re-enactors) – the public will have the opportunity to join the Warriors for a parade around the site to close the day.

For the best deal possible, become an annual ticket holder by buying a ticket online or in the museum, and then use the code when ordering your event tickets. 

The site is dog friendly - dogs on leads are welcome on site. They are only prohibited from entering the museum building.

Free parking, however, parking is limited so please car share where possible. There are no public transport links to Rockbourne.
