Volunteering at the Museum: Meet the Team

Are you interested in supporting your local heritage? Do you like meeting new people and working as part of a team? Have you ever considered volunteering for your local museum?

If so, drop into the museum anytime between 11am and 1.30pm on Thursday 16 January and find out more about volunteering at the museum. There will also be complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits and a goody bag to take away.

The Red House Museum has a wonderful, friendly, diverse team of volunteers, who share a passion for creating the most welcoming environment for our visitors. The priority role we require volunteers for is working in our Front of House. This involves meeting and greeting visitors, operating the till and responding to inquiries. A warm and pleasant nature and commitment to equality and diversity are key qualities we look out for. Ongoing training and support is provided, so don't be daunted if this is a new role, just pop in on the 16th to see if this opportunity is right for you.

We also have opportunities on our dementia-friendly 'Still Curious Project', and you'll have to the opportunity to meet the team behind this work and people already volunteering on the project.

If you can't make it on this day but are still interested in volunteering, pop in anytime, give us a call or send an email. We will respond to you as soon as we can.
