Votes for Women at the City Museum

Part of Winchester Heritage Open Days

Suffragette tells the story of the brave women who campaigned tirelessly to get women the vote. Using eye witness accounts, diaries and letters this powerful performance talks about the different work of suffragists and suffragettes and their ground breaking activities from Black Sunday to window breaking, imprisonment to hunger strikes.  Celebrate and learn about this key turning point in women's history with History's Maid.

Performances will be at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm.

In between performances there will be a chance to talk with History's Maid.
