Brighter Futures Programme Spring 2025
Natalie Hauser is a local artist, illustrator, and pattern designer with a love for capturing the natural world in vibrant watercolour. With over a decade of teaching experience in schools and adult education, Natalie combines her passion for art with her talent for nurturing creativity in learners of all abilities.
In this 6-week course, you’ll learn the essentials of painting botanical subjects using watercolour. From mastering basic techniques like washes and layering to exploring colour mixing and fine details, each session will guide you through creating your own nature-inspired masterpieces. Whether it’s delicate leaves, blooming flowers, or textured bark, you’ll gain the confidence to paint with freedom and flair. Beginners are welcome, and no prior experience is necessary.
All materials will be provided, so just bring yourself and wear something you don’t mind getting a splash of paint on.
After completing the course, you’ll be equipped with the skills to continue your watercolour journey. Whether that means joining an advanced course, experimenting with your own projects, or even turning your botanical designs into cards or prints, the possibilities are endless.
