Horizon 20:20 is an empowering programme. It creates experiences of learning that is often transformative for vulnerable young people across Hampshire who have been excluded from mainstream school, or cannot cope in a mainstream learning environment.
Horizon 20:20 helps break negative cycles of challenging behaviour, increases re-engagement with education, improves overall confidence and self-esteem, and increases young people's access to specialist arts expertise and equipment.
Horizon 20:20’s current funding comes to an end in September 2020. We need to secure funding to continue delivering the programme.
“When he [first] encountered the visiting artists, he was wary… I now have a very emotionally progressed pupil… He is smiling. He laughs. He joins in team tasks. He takes risks. He has progressed in his other subjects too… I don’t know what I would do without Hampshire Cultural Trust and all the great practitioners who teach our pupils new art and social skills.”
