Unlock your creativity and nurture your well-being with this object-led Creative Writing course, led by writer, producer, and presenter, Lauren Grierson. Lauren specialises in producing bespoke learning workshops in heritage and arts settings, with a decade of experience across London and Hampshire.
Each week, dive into a new theme by bringing an object or photo that connects with you and share the story behind your chosen item with the group. Then, experience a unique time travel meditation, immersing yourself in the narrative of the week’s featured object. Unleash your creativity through an exercise in free writing and finish by crafting a piece of writing of your choice inspired by the workshop.
What You’ll Learn:
- Share the story behind your object and be inspired by others as they share theirs
- Uncover a new museum object's story each week
- The art of meditation to enhance inspiration and focus
- Strategies for overcoming creative blocks and establishing a regular writing routine
- Personalise and ritualize your writing process
This is a four week course taking place on Wednesdays between 19th June - 10th July, 10:30am - 12:30pm.
ABOUT BRIGHTER FUTURES
Brighter Futures Courses are free of charge, and all materials will be provided. These courses are part of the Hampshire County Council Adult Community Learning Programme, Hampshire Learns. To be eligible for a course you must be 18+ years old, live in Hampshire and feel as though your mental health and wellbeing may benefit from attending a creative course.
