Street Stories gives everyone a chance to participate in the Alton Arts Festival 2024. Showcase your creative ideas from your home, your street, or your business!

Celebrate and share your favourite characters from stories and literature! Whether it is a character from your favourite book, myth or legend - or even local folklore - the festival team want to see your own creations in 2D or 3D on display across Alton.

Workshops: The Allen Gallery is delighted to be hosting workshops in the run up to the festival to help build your idea, which will include support in basic woodworking and sculptural construction, such as using wire, metal and recycled materials. These will be a great way to get creative and learn some practical skills on the way.

Workshop dates:

Sat 20th April 2 – 4pm

Mon 27th May, with sessions running between 10 – 2pm.

These will be run at the Allen Gallery. Pop your name into the form here to get involved - if you don't have an idea, don't worry, the team will help you get started!

Trail: All entries will be invited to be part of a Street Stories trail and walking tour throughout Alton Arts Festival, and there will be public votes for favourite entries, with voucher prizes on offer.
