Hampshire Cultural Trust’s ambition is to place culture at the heart of social and economic change in Hampshire with the strategic goal of improving wellbeing, health and happiness through cultural experiences.

We aim:

  • To embed social impact programming at all of our venues, ensuring local community needs and interests are the central drivers for cultural activity
  • To extend the reach of our impact to improve the health and wellbeing of people across the county, including vulnerable and hard to reach groups
  • To develop and maintain strategic partnerships inside and outside the cultural sector to deepen the impact of our work

In 2020-21 we worked with over 300 people online through a variety of programmes to enable continued access to cultural engagement during COVID related restrictions.  We were also able to work with over 200 people face to face.

These programmes worked with all members of our community, working with key partners to focus on the priority areas of young people, older people, community engagement and criminal justice.
