Hampshire Cultural Trust is a charity and so, with your help, we’re able to benefit from the UK government’s Gift Aid scheme.
There are a variety of ways we can claim an additional 25p per £1 you spend, and at no extra cost to you:
- At some of our museums, including Milestones and 878 AD, we are able to claim Gift Aid on pay once, visit all year tickets. If you are a UK taxpayer, all you need to do is to give your permission when you buy the ticket. So, if you purchase a family ticket and select Gift Aid, we can claim £12 from the government towards our work to improve the health and wellbeing of people across the county.
- At some exhibitions, including at the Arc, we ask you to consider buying a ticket with an additional donation. In this case, the Gift Aid rules allow us to claim Gift Aid on the full amount of your admission if the donation is at least 10% of the ticket price. So, a £5 Senior Citizen ticket with an additional donation of 50p will be worth £6.87 to Hampshire Cultural Trust and the communities we serve.
- Any donations you make to Hampshire Cultural Trust – when booking a ticket, in person at a venue, or on our website – are eligible for Gift Aid if we have a valid Gift Declaration for you.
To claim Gift Aid, we need to record your name, post code and first line of your address. This information will be held in our secure database and used in line with the General Data Protection Regulation. By allowing us to claim Gift Aid, you are declaring that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference. If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HMRC to adjust your tax code.
