Clay, Calm & Creativity – From Slab to Fab!
Slow down, get your hands into clay, and enjoy a joyful, relaxed pottery workshop where creativity takes centre stage. In this friendly session, you’ll learn the basics of slab building as we create a beautiful hand-built vase or utensil pot to take home. We’ll begin with a short warm-up exercise before moving on to the main project, where you’ll shape your vessel and personalise it using slip trailing, texture, or raised relief decoration. The workshop is designed for competent beginners and those with some clay experience, and all tools and materials will be provided. Your piece will be made using a stoneware-based clay that can be air-dried at home, allowing you to decorate it in your own time. A small acrylic paint set and brush can also be provided so you can complete your design and bring your pottery to life. With a small group of adults, this is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a few hours of calm, creativity, and connection while making something uniquely yours.
