Drawing Mini-beasts

The session opens by exploring the rich cultural symbolism of minibeasts, looking at how creatures like beetles, spiders, and bees have represented transformation, creation, and order across history. Artists begin by zooming in closely on intricate natural patterns, macro details, and fine textures before zooming out to capture the collective movement, rhythm, and geometry of the swarm.

This workshop will combine hands-on practice with insights from art history and contemporary drawing. Led by expert instructor Hira Gedikoglu, each session offers guidance and inspiration, with all materials provided and exclusive access to the collection included.
