Ways you can help?

We want your memories of Gosport's entertainment scene

Please share your memories and memorabilia to be a part of it! We’re looking for your stories about local entertainment events, venues, and people, plus any photographs, posters, tickets or other objects that tell the story of Gosport’s entertainment scene. We’d love to have your contributions, whether they’re written stories, interviews, voice notes, physical mementos, digital items or links to content online.

You can share your memories via this online form https://hampshireculturaltrust.typeform.com/to/j23wGZ3B

Other ways you can help:

  • Are you interested in local history?
  • Are you interested in local music and  entertainment scene?
  • Have you got some time to spare?
  • Would you like to meet like-minded people?

We are looking for volunteers to commit to approx. 2-5 hours a week throughout June and July. We’re embarking on a project to capture and preserve the history of local entertainment in Gosport.

Come help us uncover new information about Gosport's entertainment scene through the exploration of archives, researching local history, pulling stories together, all of which will contribute to a new interactive exhibition to keep the story alive for future generations.

Your contributions will help us create a vibrant display showcasing how entertainment has changed in our area.

If you want to get involved or find out more:

Pop along to Gosport Museum and Art Gallery from 3:00-6:00pm on 7 June 2024 and informal chat with Kat and Charlie.
