The Friends of the Red House Museum Talks are held on Wednesdays at 2pm, in the Main Gallery, on the following dates: 

Members and non-members are welcome.

 

13 March The Right Light at Night - a talk by Steve Tonkin, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and Advisor to the Cranborne Chase International Dark Sky Reserve.
17 April The true story of Harry G Selfridge - a talk by Denis Carlton, a local actor will give an entertaining and informative talk on Mr Selfridge.
1 May Ghosts, Royals and Ferrymen - a talk by Brian Margetson. The talk will focus on river, estuary and inshore ferries, from rowing boats up to the Isle of Wight ferry
15 May Wildlife in Christchurch and the Lower Avon Valley; it’s all about variety - a talk by Chris Chapleo, Chair of Christchurch Harbour Ornithological Group
5 June Christchurch & D-Day, 6th June 1944 - a talk by John Smith. The talk will cover equipment invented in Christchurch and the American Army Air Force Squadrons, based at R.A.F Christchurch & nearby Winkton
  The Friends only off site visit will take place on 27 March

 

Tickets for the talks £5.00 or £3.00 to Friends.
