Offering rich imaginative worlds and wondrous tales, myths and legends have inspired artists for thousands of years.
Join illustrator Emily Harper for a day of creative exploration inspired by myths and legends. Starting with a visit to the Ray Harryhausen: Myths in Motion exhibition, you will explore how myths and legends have been interpreted for the screen before using library resources to select a myth to bring to life through drawing, painting or creative collage.
All levels welcome as the course leader will help you explore various ways to bring your creative ideas on to the page through mind mapping, sketching and mood boarding to put your own unique spin on a classic tale.
Materials will be provided but feel free to bring along any artistic materials you enjoy working with, as well as collage materials or anything that inspires you.
