Join us for a merry celebration of springtime folk, music, dance and festivities. Fun for the whole family!

Expect live music from Murphy's Lore, may pole dancing, folk dancing, take part in folk songs and stories, face painting and traditional games tent from Drakos Dottir, paper flower garland and crown making... and much more! Plus, enjoy a delicious cream tea in our beautiful garden.

Tudor tales of May Day, 10.40am to 11am
Morris Dancing, 11am, 12pm and 3.15pm
May Day Songs and Stories, 11.20am and 12.50pm
May Pole Dancing, 1.30pm 
Murphy’s Lore Trio (live music), 2.30pm

We will also be serving scones with cream and jam, delicious cakes and ice creams. Picnics welcome.
 
£4 per person in advance / £5 on the door. Free to Friends members and under 5s. Only assistance dogs permitted.
 
The event is outdoors and weather dependant. Scheduled times may vary.

Tickets

The standard ticket price is for adults and children aged 5+. Entry is free for under fives and personal carers, but everyone is required to have a ticket. Tickets will be refunded and entrance free if you sign up as a Friend before or on the day. Phone the museum on 01202 482860 to enquire about becoming a Friend member.

If you are a member of the Friends of the Red House Museum, entrance to the event is free and you do not require ticket. Please note, you may be asked to provide proof of membership.
