In this introductory screen printing journaling workshop, set in the beautiful surroundings of Basing House, you will create a one-of-a-kind printed journal inspired by your environment, your own ideas, drawings, and marks. Using traditional screen printing techniques and hand-cut stencils, you will print directly onto the paper pages and cover, experimenting with colour, repetition, and texture to build layered pages that reflect your thoughts and feelings.
Berkshire Printmakers will bring their large library of plain and patterned screens, a kaleidoscope of coloured inks, coloured papers and stencils, along with a wealth of knowledge and experience to support the workshop.
Please dress for mess, bring an apron, and feel free to bring any personal or inspirational materials you would like to work from.
Parking: Please note, there is no parking, except accessible parking, directly outside the visitor centre and we ask that our visitors do not park in the village. Follow the brown signs to Basing House car park which is off Barton's Lane near the Millstone public house. Satnavs use postcode RG24 8AE. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes from the venue.
