What we will do

The course is taking place at the Curtis Museum, whilst the Allen Gallery, which is well known for its wonderful collection of ceramics from around the world, is closed for refurbishment. We will have the opportunity to look at the pottery and tile exhibitions for inspiration as we enjoy making our own collections.

Throughout the course we will learn new skills to include:

. Slab building

. Coiling

. Decorating with underglazes

. Simple sculpting

The sessions will be flexible so that you can have fun exploring your own creativity with guidance. It is also wonderful opportunity to new make friends in a relaxed and welcoming space.
