Join us for a unique family friendly living history event with combat displays and activities, all set in the beautiful village of Rockbourne.

Following on from last year's successful anniversary event, Rockbourne Rediscovered, we will be invaded again this August by a selection of the best period living history groups in the area.

Our Anglo-Saxon past will be brought to life by the authentic Herigeas Hundas, and we'll discover more about Roman life and combat history with The Butser Roman Legion. They will also be joined by The Vicus, for an exciting exploration of our ancient past. Expect displays and demonstrations spanning the Iron Age, Romans, Gladiators and Saxons.

Come face to face with Saxon Warriors and Roman Soldiers, and learn more about the site's Iron Age past. There will also be the chance to take a tour of the romans of the villa and archaeological site with an archaeologist. There will also be displays and lots of craft and making activities for children, including decorating your own shield, all included in the ticket price.

Saturday ticket holders are welcome to use their tickets on Sunday, alternatively we are happy to refund in full.

Free parking, however, parking is limited so please car share where possible. There are no public transport links to Rockbourne.

Please note: between 2 - 24 August, Rockbourne Road may be closed near the Sandleheath junction. If you are visiting from Fordingbridge direction, there is a detour to Damerham that will take you to Rockbourne Lane and back on to Rockbourne Road.
