• Jamie Allen and Lucy Crockford collecting the Best Venue Teamwork: Arts Centre award

Aldershot’s West End Centre has been recognised for its outstanding teamwork at the national Live Music Business Awards.

The live venue, which is operated by Hampshire Cultural Trust, won the award for Best Venue Teamwork: Arts Centre at a ceremony held at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London. From rock gigs to pottery classes, the West End Centre is a thriving hub in the centre of Aldershot, hosting comedy acts, ground-breaking theatre, classes and workshops alongside its programme of live music.

Now in its ninth year, The Live Music Business Awards are committed to presenting awards to the business people who drive the country’s contemporary live music industry. The awards recognise excellence and talent among promoters, venue operators, festival organisers and agents, through to artiste managers, tour managers, show producers, brand impact and record label partnerships.

Barney Jeavons, Director of the West End Centre said: “I am absolutely delighted that we’ve won this award. We have an incredible team of staff and volunteers here at the West End Centre and as this award is voted for by other music industry professionals, it’s a very high accolade and one we’re all very proud of. “

The award was collected at the ceremony by Jamie Allen and Lucy Crockford, two of the newest recruits to the West End Centre’s team.
