Back in April, The Yorkshire Museum launched its #CuratorBattle project on Twitter, challenging fellow museums to search their best objects on a weekly theme. Hampshire Cultural Trust rose to the challenge taking part throughout lockdown in the creepiest object and tremendous transport categories. But it was the penultimate battle that has everyone talking.
The category was Best Museum Bum and Hampshire Cultural Trust took to Twitter with a tasteful watercolour from Hampshire Artist, William Grant from the collections cared for by HCT. The Times picked up on the Trust’s cheeky submission, featuring the piece on page three of the paper on Thursday 23 July, alongside submissions from The Wallace Collection, the Royal Armories and National Trust.
