• SEARCH Celebrates British Science Week

SEARCH opened its doors to families to take on science challenges together for British Science Week.

Young visitors put on a lab coat, grabbed a magnifying glass and took their accompanying adults into our science rooms for lots of hands-on fun. Challenges included building our skeleton, using keys, creating food chains and identifying animal poo and prints.

The Geology Gallery was also open with activities including rock testing and fossil identification. It was a very busy event with 337 visitors in just three hours. Many of the visitors were new to SEARCH and we received lots of complimentary comments about the activities and volunteers helping out.

Earlier in the week, again for British Science Week, SEARCH attended the EBO Primary School Science Fair engaging 90 children in geology activities.
