• Too Much To Bear

Saturday 10 November saw the first public performances of Too Much to Bear by Fluid Motion Theatre Company and live artist Sebastian H-W, an interactive audio performance exploring mental health through the lens of the First World War. The performance took place at Basingstoke's Willis Museum.

Attendees were invited to join actor and amateur historian Leigh Johnstone on a participatory audio tour as he uncovered his great grandfather’s experiences as a stretcher bearer in the trenches. Through live performance and audio instructions, Leigh invited the audience to think about personal and collective battles as they reflected on the lives of these unsung heroes during WWI, ultimately asking the question 'was it too much to bear?'
